Congratulations Alan(Buck) on 50 good years

Dear Alan,

Well firstly, Happy Birthday and may this blog be only the beginning to a great day marking a great occasion. We think you should be proud of having filled 50 years to the max with no real signs of slowing down in the near future and are a little sad that it can't be marked with a big celebration including fireworks and the lot!!

Secondly we want to say thankyou for the friendship that has built over the years between our families giving us many very enjoyable occasions, lots of good times with many a laugh and the very real blessing in the generosity of your time, your experience, your truck, your planter, your hay, etc etc and most of all your friendship. When we have been down, you were there, when we had needs you provided, when we had a spot of bother you helped out so although your not a huge man on the outside and you try to give a very good impression of being tough and no fuss, you have a massive heart and we are all the more blessed for it. So thank you.

Well now that I've given away all your secrets, we can't not add a few memories like sitting in the boat going across to Lindemann Island riding the waves in true rodeo style, the confidence in crossing the gully with the truck and dog only to have all the drive wheels off the ground, boating the ladies across the flooded Dawson river in true hero style, sleeping the sleep of the just while horses wandered in the Borrenen moonlight are but just a few. Oh and we must not forget Acataking a bull while on horse back only to feel the burning warmth down into unmentionable areas and the remedy to be just as uncomfortable and a bit greasy!!

So Mr Hewitt, congratulations on all your successes, on all your escapades, on surviving the many injuries incurred, the finding of such a beautiful and very talented & supportive wife( this blog idea a perfect example), the shared raising of your very capable boys, your successful business, your ability to meet life's challenges, your ability to hand out as good as you get and not to take any s... from anyone, your loyalty and your true friendship within the last 50 years of fulfilling living. May you be blessed with many more good years which we know you will fill to the hilt.
